The world is a sad place. But yay, there are people who appreciate meaningful non-crap art ~

When I hear Joy bitch and complain on the phone or the internet about how she can so relate to the angst of a mother to a seventeen year old with a baby, it just makes me want to punch her. Her kid is like a month and a half old. Her situation does not in any way compare to that of my dad’s best friend. And if she is referencing this whole thing to me, it only makes me want to punch her more. I have never interacted with her in a motherly fashion. She doesn’t know what it’s like to mother a teenager, let alone one who has a kid. So she should just shut the fuck up.

I encounter a lot of moments where I’m glad that I’m no longer going directly into the photography field. These moments are usually when I discover highly successful photography portfolios yet I cannot for the life of me find one good quality about their pictures. People like cheap, not artistic. I just don’t fit into the photography world. I have always tried to find an artistic flair in every single one of my photographs. Those that lack it are ones I am not so proud of yet. Yet they are apparently more along the lines of what would make me successful.

Meh.

I’ll stick with selling prints as art and doing photoshoots for people who come to me first, not trying to advertise myself as a portrait/wedding/whathaveyou photographer.
